There has been many new developments for current Australian Adventure Activity Standard (Australia AAS) projects this month. Including the extension of the project until September 2019!
This extension is thanks to the support of the Sport and Recreation Departments from the State and Territory Governments.

‘Good Practice Guides’ Nominations
There is a call for people with broad expertise and experience to nominate for Technical Working Groups (TWG) in the following categories;
- Angling
- Caving
- Sea Kayaking
- Snorkeling
Participants will be drafting the ‘Good Practice Guides’. Leadership experience in these particular activities are essential.

Revised Presentation of Australian AA
Following the feedback received surrounding the presentation of the AAS; a number of changes have been adopted. More details can be found in the link below.

Pre-Release of Australian AAS
Prior to the publication of the official documents there will be a ‘pre-release’ of the finished documents. This will allow time for people to asses their current standards prior to the new standards and good practice guides being adopted.
This pre-release is planned for Dec 2018, in time for the official release in September 2018. More details can be found in the link below;
