John Norman

John has been providing Outdoor Recreation services since 1981 after spending 5 years training and leading Outdoor Recreation programs for the NSW State Government.

He serves on several industry consultative committees and Boards all of which are voluntary and unpaid. This is done as a contribution to the Outdoor Recreation Industry with a view to facilitating the delivery of educational, professional, environmentally sustainable experiences for those participating in Outdoor Recreation and Educational activities. The long term outcome of the process of identifying those leaders, guides or instructors is to encourage quality and professional facilitation of the outdoor experience for those participants and to build our community focus.

Johns’ business interests include indoor climbing facilities, mobile climbing walls, handhold manufacture, a private registered training organisation servicing a variety of clients including Dept of Defence, NSW Police, St John Ambulance, Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust plus private providers and outside of the work environment as much personal recreational activity as time allows.
